Established in 1920, FM GRU Tower Cranes started as a family business in the Northern Italy's biggest industrial place. During the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into an industrial and manufacturing economy, the company was working in welded construction industries and the metal structural sector. FMgru was involved in constructing pylons to convey electricity, bridges for roads, a wide array of forklifts, presses, prefabrication molds and farming machinery.
The business started crane production during 1963. Over time, the company pooled all of its resources into this one activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest specialization level in the area of lifting.
